YOLO: A FUSION APPROACH TO GEOLOCATING NATURAL RESOURCES

eagInNest_edited.png

Advancing near real-time AI and drone technology to improve wildlife monitoring and conservation in hard-to-reach landscapes.

Background

Project Information

Golden Eagles nest in some of the most rugged and remote landscapes in North America, making them both awe-inspiring and challenging to study. Protecting these iconic birds requires reliable information about where they nest, how they are doing, and how we can monitor them safely and responsibly. This project brings together new technologies, careful field practices, and emerging tools in data analysis to help improve how Golden Eagles are monitored and conserved, while reducing risks to both eagles and the people who study them.
